Series whitewash: England return favour, sweep ODI series 4-0

DUBAI: After being blown out of the water in the Test match series, England completed their revenge whitewash, hanging Pakistan out to dry with a five wicket victory in the fourth and final one-day international in Dubai on Tuesday.
Being set a target of 238 runs off 50 overs. England got off to stuttering start, loosing captain Alastair Cook early on, before being cut to 68-3 in the 16th over. However, a solid century from Kevin Pietersen (130) ensured Pakistan will go home without a consolatory victory.
Earlier, Pakistan were bowled out for 237 in their allotted 50 overs in the fourth and final day-night international at Dubai Stadium here on Tuesday.
Asad Shafiq topscored with 65 while Azhar Ali (58) and Misbah-ul Haq (46) were the other contributors. For England paceman Jade Dernbach finished with 4-45.
Flu and injury-hit Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat in the fourth and final one-day against England at Dubai Stadium here on Tuesday.
Experienced batsman Younis Khan failed to recover after missing the third match on Saturday while opener Imran Farhat was left out with a groin injury sustained during the last match.
Paceman Junaid Khan, spinner Abdul Rehman and allrounder Shoaib Malik were included in place of Farhat, Umar Gul and Aizaz Cheema.
England, who have an unassailable 3-0 lead, were also forced to leave out Ravi Bopara (sore back), Graeme Swann (calf) and resting Stuart Broad and James Anderson.
Their places were taken by Jos Butler, Jade Dernbach, Tim Bresnan and Danny Briggs.
